A media console has to do something most furniture doesn’t: look good with a screen above it. At Lulu and Georgia, the media console collection spans low-profile credenza-style pieces, floating wall-mount options, and freestanding entertainment units in solid wood, cane, lacquered finishes, and mixed-material constructions. Each designed to hold what a modern living room needs — components, storage, cables — while looking like furniture that belongs in the room regardless of what’s mounted above it.
What media console styles does Lulu and Georgia carry?
The collection includes low-profile credenzas and sideboards suited for media use, dedicated TV consoles with component storage, floating and wall-mounted options, and larger entertainment units. Materials span solid hardwood, veneer, cane and rattan inlay, lacquered finishes, and mixed wood-and-metal constructions. Interior storage includes shelving for components, drawers, and closed cabinet sections. Sizes range from compact (under 60 inches) to full living-room-width options.
How wide should a media console be relative to a TV?
A media console should be at least as wide as the TV above it — and ideally wider, by 6–12 inches on each side, for a grounded, proportional look. A 65-inch TV pairs well with a console 70–80 inches wide. For a 55-inch TV, 60–72 inches works well. The TV should be mounted so its center falls at seated eye level, typically 42–48 inches from the floor to the screen center in most living rooms.
Does Lulu and Georgia carry floating or wall-mounted media consoles?
Yes — floating and wall-mounted media consoles are available for those who prefer a lighter visual footprint. Wall-mounting also makes floor cleaning easier and can create the impression of more floor space in smaller rooms. Mounting hardware and weight capacity are noted on each product page. Professional installation is recommended for wall-mounted pieces to ensure proper load-bearing support.
