Candleholders

Candlelight changes a room in a way no other lighting can approximate — it is warm, flickering, alive. At Lulu and Georgia, the candleholder collection brings together taper candlestick holders, pillar candle holders, votive and tea light holders, hurricane lanterns, and menorah and candelabra styles in brass, ceramic, glass, wood, marble, and mixed materials. Each chosen for material quality and the way the object reads on a table or mantel even when unlit — because a candleholder is décor in both states.

What candleholder styles does Lulu and Georgia carry?

The collection includes single and grouped taper candlestick holders in varying heights, pillar candle platforms and stands, glass and ceramic votive holders, hurricane lanterns for pillar and taper candles, wall sconces for tapers, and candelabras for dining table and mantel use. Materials span brass and blackened steel, ceramic and terracotta, hand-blown and clear glass, marble, wood, and mixed constructions. Many coordinate with the candles and home fragrances collection.

How do I create a candleholder grouping on a dining table?

Vary heights within a tight color or material family — a grouping of brass taper holders at three different heights reads as cohesive; three different materials at the same height reads as unrelated. Odd numbers work better than even: three taper holders in a line down the center of the table, or five votive holders clustered at the center. Leave space between pieces so the grouping breathes rather than appearing compressed. Taper holders and votive holders can mix effectively when the material connects them.

What candles fit Lulu and Georgia candleholders?

Most taper candlestick holders in the collection are designed for standard 7/8-inch diameter tapers — the most common size in the US. Some holders accommodate both 7/8-inch and 1-inch tapers. Pillar holders are sized for standard 3-inch diameter pillar candles. Votive holders take standard votive candles. Check product pages for candle compatibility and size specifications before purchasing; taper candles in coordinating finishes are available in the candles collection.
