Add fresh texture to your edit with this handwoven pillow, made from 100% cotton sourced from smallholder farms in Africa. Its palette draws from the hues local communities use to paint their homes, lending the design a grounded warmth rooted in West African tradition. Powered by People works with makers from all over the world to bring small-batch, responsibly made goods to market. This piece is from Boon & Up, whose textiles are woven by women in rural Ghana before being hand-finished by a local seamstress.

Boon & Up creates handwoven textiles crafted in rural northern Ghana by a collective of skilled women artisans. Using 100% carbon-neutral cotton sourced through the Cotton made in Africa initiative and surplus wool from northern England, each piece reflects a commitment to sustainability, heritage craftsmanship, and thoughtful design inspired by the colours of the Dagaaba community.
